Welcome to the Orchid Paws Maine Coon Cattery

With over 19 years of experience in breeding and showing our cats on exhibitions and our great love for this wonderful breed,

we decided to bring the Orchid Paws Cattery to life.

I chose the cattery name because I put all my heart and soul into cat
breeding and the care of various orchids.

In addition to our breeding animals, our gang also includes our
American Hairless Terrier "Eddy" and our Chinese Crested Powder Puff "Alica" so that the kitten soon are getting used to dogs.

We also have an aquarium and a water turtle, so cat TV is
also provided.

Our animals know no closed doors and have enough play- and scratching
possibilities everywhere and a 90 qm2 secured outdoor enclosure with 24/7 access.

Our motto is class instead of mass. Therefore, we only have a maximum of
1-2 litters per year because we give our cat mothers sufficient time for
regeneration!

Our aim is to breed genetically perfect Maine Coons. We prefer the large
and strong Coons in breeding, with not too high set ears and full lynx
tips, a beautiful lion-mane and the originally half-long fur.

Of course, the special expression on the face and a perfect profile must
not be missing. You will also find the relatively rare Poly-Maine Coons
in our Cattery, which also won our hearts.

You won't find the pedigree "off the shelf" with us.

It goes without saying that you get well socialized, stable and
naturally healthy young animals from us. However, we do not wish
unsecured walks alone on the streets for our lovingly reared Maine Coons
and we don´t want that our Kitten live as the only one without another
catfriend. We are also happy to help you  to find a second cat from
animal welfare for one of our kittens.

All of our animals have health and surgery insurance. Every kitten also moves out with this health insurance. This can be seamlessly taken over by the new owner and costs less than 20 euros per month.

 Before purchasing a Maine Coon,
we are of course at your side with advice and action and would be happy
to recommend you to breeders in our area if there is no litter in our

cattery available.

Our cattery was examined by the Veterinary Office Tirschenreuth and was
in no way objected to. Furthermore, we are registered at Waldsassen tax
office and recognized there as pure hobby breeding with no intention of
making a profit.

Under certain conditions, we occasionally give a kitten to a small
breed. Future  breeders are also very welcome and will receive the
necessary support in breeding from us.
